Lake Garda Improvement Association

Board Meeting Minutes: June 14th, 2022

7:00 pm Farmington Community Center

Board Members:

Present: P. Anthony, C. Castrogiovanni, J. Craigin M. Duchow, L. Gezelman, R. Frey, C. Scully.

Absent: C. Contreras, H. Monnerat, A.J. Singh, R. St. Pierre.

Quorum present? Yes

Proceedings:

  • Meeting called to order at 7:01 p.m. by President L. Gezelman.
  • Vote to approve April meeting minutes. Motion made by M. Duchow, Second by C. Scully.
  • Motion passed.
  • The President solicited items for new business.

Treasurer’s Report – Report presented by L. Gezelman.  The report will be placed on file.

Tax Collector Report – Report presented by M. Duchow. Over 60% of accounts are paid.  The delinquencies are the lowest they have ever been. The report will be placed on file.

Lake Report – Second treatment of the lake was completed on 6/13.

Encroachment Committee – Property surveying was discussed.

Event Committee Report: Movie night was a success.  The events committee will discuss another outdoor movie night.

Old Business: N/A

New Business:

TruGreen came out to quote spraying of poison ivy on Rio Road.  The quote was for $500.00.  Motion made by J. Craigin to treat the area for the quoted amount.  Second by M. Duchow.  Motion passed.

Potential for an additional boat rack at Children’s Beach was brought up by J. Craigin.

Dock by the dam is submerged and needs attention.  It will be looked at by the president and vice president.

Coyote Joe is missing and Children’s beach is now covered in goose poop.  J. Craigin made a motion to offer a $25.00 reward for the return or information. C. Castrogiovanni Second. Motion passed.  Other discussion about Children’s Beach cleanliness and solutions.

Discussion about dumping in the woods on Lakeview.  It is being looked at.

  1. Castrogiovanni brought up discussion about sand at the beaches.

Comments from Members:

Question about taxes we are paying on building lots around the lake.  All lots are being taxed at the lowest rate.

Motion to adjourn by J. Craigin.  Seconded by M. Duchow. Meeting adjourned at 8:16pm
