Board Meeting Minutes: September 8, 2026
7:00 pm – Farmington Senior Center
Board Members:
Present: P. Anthony, C. Castrogiovanni, J. Cragin, R. Cyr, M Duchow, R. Frey, L. Gezelman, S. Manafort, J. McNeill, C. Scully, A.J. Singh.

Quorum present? Yes
Proceedings:
- Meeting called to order at 7:02 pm by President, L. Gezelman.
- Motion to approve the meeting minutes for August made by C Castrogivanni. Seconded by J. McNeill. Motion passed unanimously.
- Board President L. Gezelman called for items of new business.
Treasurer’s Report : Thereport was presented by the treasurer and will be placed on record.
Tax Collector Report: The report was presented by the tax collector and will be placed on record.
Lake Report: The final lake treatment was on September 1st. The president will be asking our treatment company for next year’s plan. There are some invasive species the board is worried about that need to be addressed.
Event Committee Report: N/A
Old Business:
–Snow Removal: A question about our snow plowing contract by S. Manafort. The contract will be sent to the board for review.
–Drain Cleaning: There are several drains on association property that need cleaning and repair. The president will investigate this and get pricing for the board.
–Boat Rack: The area has been scoped out. Pictures were reviewed and the board unanimously voted for the member offering to build the new rack. This rack would be on the north end of the lake closest to Moore Beach.
–Fence: The new fence on Strong Ct is not on LGIA property. This matter is closed.
–Bees on 8 acres: Our trail master (R. Cyr) found several bee nests on the 8 acres portion of the property. Several quotes were received to treat and remove them. A motion was made by R. Cyr to approve a quote from Orkin in the amount of 659.37. Second by R. Frey. Motion carried unanimously.
New Business:
–Nominations: Reminder that nominations are due for the October elections.
–Ravine Road encroachment: An easement on a Ravine Road home was granted in the early 2000s. A shed that is on LGIA property will be removed. The homeowners will be building a new garage, but it will not encroach on LGIA property.
–Committee Structure: We will be improving our committees and how they are structured. This is in an effort to make us more organized and streamlined. This includes a committee on tree/property assessment, contracts, bylaws, finance and events.
Public Comments
- Children’s Beach / Monce Road: Cherly, a resident, asked whether sand could be added to Children’s Beach. She also inquired about sidewalk development on Monce Road.
- Japanese Knotweed: A resident of 25 Pond Street on the Farmington side shared information regarding Japanese Knotweed along the trail between Pond Street and Pine Street.
- Cragin Boardwalk: A resident requested that fencing be added along the Cragin Boardwalk.
Motion – Cragin Boardwalk Fencing
A motion was made by S. Manafort, seconded by R. Cyr, to donate fencing and labor to install fencing along the Cragin Boardwalk. Motion passed unanimously.
Executive Session
A motion was made to enter into executive session at 8:10 p.m.
The Board returned to regular session at 8:30 p.m.

A motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:42 p.m. was made by L. Gezelman and seconded by J. McNeill. Motion passed unanimously.
